I've been sick for most of the last few days. The entire house is sick. The sky is sick. The ground is sick. My dog is sick. It's just that type of place. This is a photo of some crows sitting in a tree near my house taken yesterday on a walk with Barnaby. The crows are back. Every fall they show up in later October and stick around through the end of November and they come back again next October. This year though, they showed up in October and never left.  You will walk down the street and see hundreds of them flying around in circles just above the treetops. At night you can hear them squawking from blocks away. I warned them last week, if they don't straighten up I'm calling the cops. What kind of place do they think this is? And they keep pooping on my car.

This is the maiden voyage. The first post. The beginning. This only happens once. It better be good. What’s happening here? Who knows yet, really. I think we will figure it out eventually. I feel good about that fact, but I also know right now the path forward is unclear. I envision this being a clearinghouse for my brain. Which, admittedly, doesn’t sound great. But bear with me. I think it could be cool. I’m tired of all social media. I’ve felt for a while the tools we are given to connect with each other are becoming more and more blatant revenue generators for the 1%. They get richer and our connections get worse and worse. And, yes, I know the irony of doing this on a platform owned and operated by one of the biggest offenders of them all. But you gotta start somewhere. This won’t be solely one type of blog. It won’t have one continuous theme except for not having a theme. So, for starters, here’s a picture of Barnaby.
